• Support the JOSY project team in software-related tasks, focusing on backend development and technical implementation.
• Develop and maintain backend components using C++, including the gradual migration of legacy codebases to Rust.
• Design and implement 2D and 3D algorithmic functions to solve complex computational problems within the JOSY system.
• Drive the integration of AI solutions into the existing software landscape in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to the software architecture of the next-generation JOSY platform and support the team through code reviews and mentoring.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Professional experience in C++ software development, with solid knowledge of SQL
• Experience with modern software tools and frameworks such as Qt (5+), PostgreSQL, and Rust is a strong plus
• Familiarity with industrial systems and interfaces (e.g. Fieldbus, ADS, MQTT), PLC systems (Beckhoff TwinCAT 3, Siemens SIMATIC), and web technologies (JavaScript/Node.js, TypeScript, RESTful APIs, GraphQL) is highly desirable
• Fluent in English (spoken and written) and advanced proficiency in German
